Masrur said, many potential investors are interested in investing in Kendal, due to several factors. First, the UMR, which is still cheap, is a conducive situation, and there are many natural potentials that can be developed.

"The district government is preparing a Spatial and Regional Plan (RTRW) for investment growth in Kendal," he explained.

President Director of JSB, Arie Irianto, added that the construction of the Semarang-Batang toll road is a consortium of two state-owned enterprises, namely PT Jasa Marga Tbk and PT Waskita Karya Tbk. The Batang-Semarang Toll Road is part of the Trans Java Toll Road. ‘’Constraints that we face are land acquisition. When we signed the contract, land acquisition was only 15 percent of what was needed, '' he said.

According to him, the existence of the Batang-Semarang Toll Road in the future will not kill the economic sector. The existence of the toll road is precisely as a support for improving the regional economy. "In a number of regions, the existence of the toll road is able to lift the economic sector," he said.
