Dico Ganinduto, The New Regent of Kendal: KIP is The Most Ready Industrial Township in The Country

Kendal, February 28th, 2021 - The new Regent and Vice-Regent of Kendal, Dico Ganinduto and Suko Windu Basuki were officially inaugurated on Friday, February 26th, 2021. The inauguration was carried out by the Governor of Central Java, H Ganjar Pranowo, S.H., M.I.P. at Gradika Bakti Praja Building, Semarang.
On the same day, after the inauguration was completed, the Regent of Kendal immediately undertook his first job by visiting the Kendal Industrial Park (KIP). KIP is one of the Special Economic Zones in Indonesia, as well as a national strategic project located in Kendal Regency.
PT. Kawasan Industri Kendal as the developer of the Kendal Industrial Park warmly welcomed the visit of the Kendal Regent for the period 2021-2026 as Kendal's determination to be friendly to investment and Industry. "We are very grateful for the support from the Regent, local government and Kendal community, and also for taking the time to visit KIK on the first day of becoming Regent" said Didik Purbadi, Executive Director of PT. Kendal Industrial Park.
Dico Ganinduto came to KIP with the Kendal Regional Secretary, M. Thoha, Chairman of Commission XI DPR RI, Dito Ganindito, and Chief Administrator of KEK Kendal Anang Widiasmoro. The visit started with a small procession of cutting “tumpeng” as a symbol of prayer and gratitude, and to congratulate the inauguration of Dico Ganinduto as Regent of Kendal on that day; followed by an explanation of the 1000 Ha Industrial Area from Stanley Ang, President Director of PT. Kawasan Industri Kendal. "Currently there are 67 confirmed tenants, 20 of them are already in operation and 15 tenants are in the construction process" said Stanley Ang, President Director of PT. Kawasan Industri Kendal.
Furthermore, the visit was continued with a tour site, seeing several tenants who were already operating and also those in the construction process, and finally visited The Kendal Port.
On this occasion, Dico Ganinduto also expressed his positive hopes for the Kendal Industrial Park. "Kendal is an investment paradise and Kendal Special Economic Zones (SEZ) is the most ready SEZ in the country. Hopefully, it can develop quickly and can open up employment opportunities for the Kendal community, and also collaborate in preparing the better Kendal’s human resources. Always success for KIP." said Dico Ganinduto.
As we know, KIP has been designated as a Special Economic Zone (KEK) as a result of the collaboration of the Joint Venture scheme between PT Jababeka Tbk (KIJA) and Sembawang Corporation. KIP was inaugurated by Indonesian President Joko Widodo and Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong. The development of KIP has always been discussed on the bilateral agenda for the Leaders’ Retreat. The fast growth in KIP and currently trusted by global companies from Japan, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea, Malaysia, and Indonesia. It shows that KIP is the most competitive investment destination for the manufacturing industry. The growth of the industrial center in KIP is expected to be able to generate Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) and open up new jobs for the surrounding community.
