June 25, 2021

Thursday, June 24, 2021. PT Kawasan Industri Kendal (KIK) through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program, namely KIK Peduli, distributed basic necessities to the Kendal Regency BPBD office. This activity is intended as a form of KIK's concern and commitment in helping the government and the community in tackling the Covid-19 pandemic.

The support which distributed was 2.5 tons of rice and other basic necessities such as instant noodles, tea, coffee, sugar, and cooking oil. In addition to basic necessities, KIK Peduli also donated 3000 cloth masks. The handover of aid was symbolically handed over by John F. Tehupuring, Head of Township Management PT KIK, as a representative of KIK and received directly by Moh. Toha, Kendal Regional Secretary, as Kendal Regional Government Representative. Furthermore, this support will later be distributed to communities around Kendal Regency.

Previously, KIK Peduli has also taken direct actions to combat Covid-19, such as distributing masks around the Industrial area, spraying disinfectants for public facilities around Industrial area, and collaborating with the Central Java Provincial Government to provide Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to several Covid-19 referral hospitals. This is done by KIK as a form of upholding its corporate value, "Do It Care" which emphasizes the importance of caring and supporting the community, especially during difficult times like nowadays.
