Agreed on Direct Investment MOU in the European Union, KEK Kendal Officially Invites German Investor Hans Dinslage GmbH to Central Java

Hannover, 17 April 2023 – Coinciding in the city of Hannover, Germany, KEK Kendal has officially signed an investment agreement with Hans Dinslage GmbH, also known as PT Beurer Indonesia Technology. This signing was carried out directly on the MOU Signing Ceremony agenda at the Indonesian Pavilion which is at the Hannover Messe 2023 International Exhibition site. Also present the Coordinating Minister for the Economy of Indonesia, Airlangga Hartarto, and the Minister of Industry, Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita to witness the MOU Signing event.

Hans Dinslage GmbH itself is a subsidiary of Beurer GmbH, a leading medical equipment manufacturer from Germany which was established in 1919. There are more than 500 products produced, and a wide variety, ranging from medical equipment, beautycare, to babycare.

Sebastian Kebbe as Managing Director of Hans Dinslage GmbH signed an investment agreement with Stanley Ang, CEO & President Director of Kendal Industrial Park. With this agreement, Hans Dinslage GmbH is committed to invest USD 4.9 Million. They will soon build factories for the production of medical equipments such as blood pressure monitors, therapy lamps, and massage items. This will be their first factory in Indonesia, also in the Southeast Asia region with a projected workforce of around 500 people.

Sebastian Kebbe from Hans Dinslage GmbH said that he confidently chose Indonesia as their expansion location due to the excellent and conducive investment climate. He said there were lots of facilities provided to him, “There are lots of interesting facilities offered such as reduction of Corporate Income Tax (Tax Holiday and Tax Allowance), free of import duty, and free of VAT. This made us decide to invest in Kendal.”

Stanley Ang also added that as one of the Special Economic Zones, not only fiscal facilities, but to attract investors, he also offers various non-fiscal facilities. “Apart from local companies, we also have foreign investors who are investing in Indonesia for the first time. In addition to fiscal facilities, we also provide various non-fiscal facilities. Such as the ease of the administrative process of making a PT, recruiting employees, to assisting in the licensing process and applying for benefits. We guarantee this, namely that we will assist and accompany investors from the start until the company can operate.”

As for the joining of Hans Dinslage GmbH in Indonesia, it certainly adds to the list of investments from the European Union that are entering Indonesia. This was welcomed by the Minister of Industry, Agus Gumiwang "We very much welcome the investment cooperation that took place today. This proves that Indonesia, of course, together with local companies are able to seriously come to Europe, and have succeeded in bringing investment to Indonesia in quite fantastic amounts.”
