The New Color of Kendal Industrial Park with the Presence of Baitul Makmur Mosque

Tuesday, March 18, 2025 became a historic moment with the groundbreaking ceremony of Baitul Makmur Mosque in Kendal Industrial Park. The presence of the mosque is an important facility because in addition to being a place of worship, but a means for all stakeholders to be able to strengthen relations.


The event was attended by Dyah Kartika Permanasari as a Regent of Kendal, Tjerja Karja Adi  as a Head of SEZ Administrator, K.H Asroi Tohir as a Chairman of MUI Kendal Regency, representatives from several Kendal Regency offices, all KIP directors and representatives from several business entities in the KIP area.


"With the existence of a mosque in KIP, it is expected to increase prosperity and welfare that can be felt by all stakeholders and the surrounding community. The representation of the mosque is not only a spiritual place of worship but also a center for socializing," said Didik Purbadi as director of KIP.


The Baitul Makmur Mosque is located on Indraprasta Road. With an area of about 3,248 m2, it is estimated that it can accommodate about 700 people and will be equipped with various facilities such as indoor and outdoor prayer rooms, green open space and a parking area of 1,213 m2.


The construction of the mosque is a much-anticipated moment and has received a lot of positive response from both the employees who work in KIP and the community around the Kendal Industrial Park. It is not yet known when the construction will be completed, but it is hoped that the construction of the mosque will go smoothly so that it can be realized as soon as possible.


The groundbreaking ceremony was concluded by watering the plants around the mosque construction site. Watering the plants has the meaning of maintaining and creating a healthy environment and maintaining good relations between man and nature. While the water that is watered has the meaning of gratitude for the abundance of gifts given.
