Royal Regent Indonesia Sends Toys To The United States To Strengthen Exports

Royal Regent Indonesia, a children's toy manufacturing company from Hong Kong, held a ceremony to release product exports to the United States from its factory in Kendal Industrial Park. The event was attended by the Minister of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita, Central Java Governor Ahmad Luthfi, and Kendal Regent Dyah Kartika Permanasari.


Royal Regent Indonesia has been fully operational in KIP since 2023 with a manufacturing production capacity value of USD 8-10 million. Currently, the company has absorbed 1,687 local workers and is targeting employment growth of up to 2,000 people in the near future. With an average export capacity of 30 containers per month, the company consistently serves global markets such as the United States, Europe, and also Asia.


RRI produces a range of children's toys that includes plastic toys, electric toys, plush toys such as dolls, and children's costumes. Its product portfolio includes toy cars, interactive electronic toys, and character-based play sets. All products are designed according to international standards and have become part of the supply chain of a number of well-known global brands, including Disney, Walmart, and various other international retail chains.


As part of the Hong Kong-based Royal Regent Group, RRI utilizes facilities in KIP as part of its Southeast Asian expansion strategy. The group has manufacturing networks in several cities in China and operates a number of production facilities in Indonesia. RRI has made KIP one of its production centers for the export market.


Director of Royal Regent Indonesia, So Kai Wo, expressed his appreciation for the support of various parties who have supported the company's smooth operations and export activities. "We are very grateful for the support of all parties who contributed to the smooth production process until today's export shipment. This is certainly inseparable from the readiness of integrated and efficient infrastructure in KIP. We are optimistic that Indonesia will become our main production center for the global market in the future," he said.


So Kai Wo also shared that three containers of products were exported today, as part of a total planned shipment of 30 containers throughout June. The products include children's costumes, children's character chairs, toy cars, and various other plastic toys.


Executive Director OF KIP, Juliani Kusumaningrum, said that Royal Regent Indonesia's exports reflect the growing competitiveness of the industrial estate. "The growth of global companies such as Royal Regent in KIP shows that this area not only attracts investment, but is also able to encourage sustainable export activities. This shows how an integrated area can create global market-based industrialization." Juliani also added that the presence of Royal Regent has helped strengthen the industrial ecosystem in the region, including the logistics system and export distribution flow.
