October 21, 2025

Improving the quality of human resources is key to the sustainability of industrial growth in Central Java. In the spirit of strengthening synergy between the world of education and industry, the Central Java Provincial Government and several companies in the Kendal Industrial Park (KIP) have agreed to collaborate by signing a cooperation agreement between the Manpower and Transmigration Office, the Central Java Provincial Education and Culture Office, and KIP's business entities.

This initiative is part of a Link and Match program initiated by the Central Java Provincial Government. The program aims to bridge the needs of industry with the competencies of vocational and technical education graduates. Through this agreement, education and industry will collaborate to harmonize curricula, open access to internships and training, and strengthen the absorption of competent local workers.

The Central Java Provincial Government's Manpower and Transmigration Office will recruit and place workers according to industry needs. The Central Java Provincial Government's Education and Culture Office will adjust the curriculum and learning programs based on industry input. Both offices will also collaborate on monitoring and evaluating the program to ensure its effective and sustainable implementation.

The signing of the agreement took place during a series of events at the Kendal SEZ and Central Java Future Forum 2025, witnessed by the Governor of Central Java, the Regent of Kendal, and the Kendal SEZ, and KIP Management. For business entities, this collaboration will certainly provide tangible benefits in the form of access to a trained workforce, strengthening the company's image as an industry that cares about local human resource development, while also strengthening strategic relationships with local governments and educational institutions.

KIP Executive Director Juliani Kusumaningrum said that this collaboration is an important pillar for the development of a competent industrial ecosystem. “Increasing human resource capacity is one of the main pillars of industrial growth. Through collaboration between the government, educational institutions, and business entities in KIP, we want to ensure that strengthening investment goes hand in hand with improving the quality of the local workforce,” she said.

Signatories to the agreement included PT Royal Regent Indonesia, PT Borine Technology Indonesia, PT Eclat Textile International, PT Polygroup Manufaktur Indonesia, and PT Sasakura Indonesia. The involvement of business players from various sectors, ranging from electronics, textiles, to toy manufacturing, reflects the commitment of industry players in the Kendal SEZ to play an active role in developing local human resources while strengthening Central Java's position as a center of manufacturing industry growth in Indonesia.
