Kendal Industrial Park (KIP) reaffirmed its
position as a leading industrial ecosystem in Central Java through the KEK
Kendal and Central Java Future Forum 2025 event held in Semarang on October 15,
2025. The forum was attended by Central Java Governor Komjen Pol Ahmad Luthfi,
Kendal Regent Hj. Dyah Kartika Permatasari, as well as government officials and
industry players. During the event, various awards were presented to government
agencies, educational institutions, and business players who have actively contributed
to the development of sustainable industrial areas.
The awards night was divided into two parts, namely
Government Awarding and Tenant Awarding for business actors. Provincial and
district governments, as well as higher education institutions, received
appreciation for their synergy in strengthening infrastructure, regulations,
and industrial human resource development. Among them, Central Java Governor
Ahmad Luthfi received the Anugerah Dharma Arthapraja Utama award, while Kendal
Regent Dyah Kartika Permatasari received the Anugerah Dharma Arthapraja Pratama
award for her leadership in encouraging accelerated investment and job creation
in the region. Awards were also given to a number of institutions such as the
Kendal SEZ Administrator, the Investment and PTSP Office, Customs, the
Directorate General of Taxes, the Police, the District Attorney's Office, and
industry partner universities such as UNDIP, UNNES, and the Furniture and Wood
Processing Polytechnic (Polifurneka).
On the other hand, Tenant Awarding is a moment of
appreciation for industry players who have shown high commitment to investment,
expansion, and sustainable practices. Some of the categories announced include
Best Regulatory & HSE Compliance, Highest Labor Absorption, Fastest
Development Progress, Most Innovative CSR Programs, and Best Building and
Landscape Aesthetics. A number of companies, such as PT Trina Mas Agra
Indonesia, PT Polygroup Manufacture Indonesia, PT Eclat Textile International,
PT Matahari Tire Indonesia, and PT Sitoy Leather Products Indonesia, received
awards in various categories thanks to their tangible contributions in
strengthening the industrial supply chain in Central Java.
KIP Executive Director Juliani Kusumaningrum said
that this award is a form of recognition for the joint efforts of all
stakeholders in developing a competitive industrial estate. "Each award
presented tonight is not merely a symbol of appreciation, but a reflection of a
solid industrial ecosystem that collaborates across sectors and is oriented
towards sustainability. We believe that the future of Indonesia's industry will
grow from close partnerships and collaborations like this," she said.
Central Java Governor Ahmad
Luthfi emphasized that collaboration between the government and industrial
estates such as KIP is key to regional economic transformation. "Central
Java has many opportunities and potential areas for investment development,
particularly the Kendal Industrial Estate, which is highly competitive and has
become the epicenter of economic growth in this province. The presence of KIP
has helped reduce poverty and boost Central Java's economic growth to 7.7
percent. This achievement demonstrates that collaboration between the
government and industry players can be effective in building Central Java
together and independently," he said.
Meanwhile, Kendal Regent Dyah
Kartika Permatasari expressed her appreciation for the contributions of
business actors who have built global trust in Kendal as a leading industrial
destination. “Kendal has grown into a competitive industrial district thanks to
the synergy between investors, local workers, and vocational education support.
The Kendal Regency Government will continue to ensure a conducive and
collaborative business climate so that the benefits of investment can be felt
by the wider community,” she said.
The award ceremony at Kendal and Central Java
Future Forum 2025 provides an opportunity to reflect on the Kendal SEZ's
journey in strengthening the competitiveness of the national industry. Through
synergy between the government, investors, and educational institutions, the
Kendal SEZ continues to transform into an industrial area that is not only
productive but also sustainable and inclusive for the economic growth of
Central Java and the nation.
