Achieving New Milestones, KIP Receives Award in the Best Norma 100 Industrial Park Category

December 08, 2025

Kendal Industrial Park achieved a remarkable accomplishment by winning an award in the Best Norma 100 Industrial Park category at the Norma 100 Award 2025 event at (8/12) in Jakarta. This award, presented by the Ministry of Manpower, is an important recognition of KIP's commitment to maintaining and implementing high labor standards within the area.

The Norma 100 assessment was conducted through a comprehensive self-assessment process involving a total of 16 industrial parks in Indonesia. The assessment involved the management of the Kendal Industrial Park and all business entities in the KIP. The evaluation covered various aspects related to employment. In this case, the KIP was able to achieve a score of 85 out of 100, successfully receiving the award for the second-best Norma 100 Industrial Estate.

Currently, the KIP has been trusted by 135 business entities from various industrial sectors and countries. The total realization of employment within the KIP as of the third quarter of this year has reached 38,001 workers, the majority of whom are from Kendal Regency. This growth not only demonstrates the attractiveness of the area for investment but also its tangible contribution to regional economic development. Since 2020, KIP has played a role in reducing the Open Unemployment Rate (OUR) of Kendal Regency by 2.9%, from 7.56% in 2020 to 4.6% in September 2025. This achievement further underscores the positive impact of the zone on improving regional welfare.

The Norma 100 Award 2025 was received directly by Juliani Kusumaningrum, Executive Director of KIP. In her speech, Juliani emphasized that this achievement was the result of close collaboration between various parties, ranging from area managers, business actors, to the central and regional governments. "We are certainly grateful and proud of this award. This achievement would not have been possible without the joint commitment of business actors, government support, and the hard work of all stakeholders in KIP" she said. She added that her team will continue to strengthen support, monitoring, and education for business actors to ensure the implementation of labor standards becomes more mature and has a tangible impact on workers.

The achievement of the Norma 100 Award 2025 further strengthens the position of KIP as an industrial area that not only focuses on accelerating investment but is also committed to responsible and sustainable employment practices. With increasingly robust governance standards, KIP continues to build a balance between industrial growth, worker welfare, and regulatory compliance. This is an important foundation for creating a competitive and inclusive industrial zone.
